This might be the least informative flashback ever because I have absolutely NO notes for the 2011 tour, just an album in iPhoto. Here are the photos, and the best explanations I can dredge up from memory.
I have a clear memory of admiring and photographing this hydrangea in the garden near Tolovana Park where we left our car.
Next up , some interiors.
The first…or second…cottage had a sparse and tidy decorating style with a beachy theme.
More window views, including a tantalizing glimpse (lower right) of the cottage with a tower that we had missed when we forgot about the tour in 2009, the September of my mother’s move into assisted living.
I photographed a glimpse down an intriguing drive…perhaps the drive to the cottage with the square tower? I do recall we did not get to walk down this road.
(We did get to finally tour the tower cottage in 2016.)
More sights while walking: These are the kind of cottages that make my heart sing. Tiny, historic, and some that have not been on the tour (at least not during the years we have attended). I would love to see inside them all.
As we walked along we saw beautiful gardens in always lovely Cannon Beach. A glimpse down an alley of a bright garden took us half a block off of the tour route. We were surprised to learn this lavish garden was all planted in containers.

Other gardens kept us happy as strolled….
…and our preserverance was rewarded by the next cottage being a little one, just the kind we like best.
