Last night at 2 AM, just before bedtime, I had a revelation. Walking down the hallway, I realized the intense influence those scrapbooks of my grandma’s have had on how I decorate my house. The bulletin boards that I have installed on several doors ARE scrapbook pages. I’ll do some blogging about that over on my Grandma’s scrapbooks blog eventually.
See what I mean:
It was a scrapbook day! The only thing we had to do is go to the Basket Case to assist with a plant order. On the way we had a spontaneous appointment with our accountant. That worked well, as I’d been afraid to make an appointment because of so many as yet unscheduled medical appointments looming.
Fred has not opened yet. He will as soon as his big perennial order is here. Meanwhile, he has lots of narcissi in pots that could be purchased if you happen to see him there when you drive by.
On the way home, we stopped at the Ilwaco Community Building for some library acquisitions and to plant a pink and a blue pulmonaria, dug from my garden.
We did some weeding and my hands got ever so cold.
Another errand: acquiring a valium for the MRI. I don’t think I will need it. I should save it to calm down if they find something wrong.
I’m pleased to report that I got the “baby book” scrapbook all set in a future blog post, and got three gardening posts done. Good to know I’m not going to let the garden blog completely languish because of my obsession with archiving my grandma’s life. I was wondering.
Tomorrow’s weather forecast is so dire that while it may be a Grandma’s old photos blogging day, it could also be a power outage day.
