Hardy Plant Society Study Weekend
Garden 7: Southard Garden
On this one, I used the owners’ surname because he had a business card out.

I had to find some creative routes around this garden to avoid railing-less stairs. I think I found enough alternate routes that I did see most of the garden.

I did not achieve that lowest level.

Slices of freshly made pizza were served to garden guests, a kind and generous and welcome meal.

wide path down a slope; I could have managed that and I wish I had made the effort. Anxiety re seeing 9 gardens in one day was giving me time pressure.
Allan made it down to the lower level and a stone arch that I asked him to view close up.
I would like one of these!

Allan also found the work area, which is something that my friend Sheila and I always liked to look for on a garden tour.

I would like a bubbler like this, please.

By now, it was 1:30 and we only had two more gardens to see, so I realized we no longer had to feel rushed. It would be good to be done a little early as we still had to check into our hotel and find some dinner before the evening event.
Next: My favourite of all the 25 gardens we saw on our long weekend.
I love the greenhouse with the chandelier!
