We stopped to see what was left of the end of season sale and I bought a few variegated oregano and thyme for the Ilwaco post office edge.
Fred and Nancy are retiring right after this end of season sale…and that is another “letting go” that is happening this year. They have buyers who will take over the business. I am fighting the “It’ll never be the same!” feeling.
There is a lot of plant snobbery about plain ol’ shasta daisies. Well. I like ’em, and that is my truth.

Klipsan Beach Cottages
A ceanothus that had been slowly dying had finally completely plotzed, so Allan cut it down. I recently read that it is not unusual for ceanothus to die off like this.
Now the one on the other end of the center courtyard garden a tall healthy ceanothus throws the garden off balance…drat.
Since the Hardy Plant Society garden tour weekend, I have had a nagging feeling that I need a new client who is a plant nut, with a big budget, and no need for hardscaping, and who would just let me play with planting new plants. I realized today that that client is ME.
